Privacy Policy

MathMe ("we", "our", "the App") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information across all platforms (iOS, Android, and Web).

1. Information We Collect

1.1. Account Information (Optional)

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive:

Email address (from your Google or Apple account)
Display name (if provided by the auth provider)
Unique account identifier

Sign-in is optional but required for cross-device sync and Duel mode.

1.2. User-Generated Data

When you use the App, we store:

Nickname (chosen by you)
Game statistics (scores, accuracy, problems solved, streaks)
Achievement progress
Coin balance and XP
App preferences and settings

1.3. Automatically Collected Data

We collect anonymous analytics data to improve the App:

App usage patterns (sessions, game modes played)
Technical data (device model, OS version, app version, browser type)
Crash reports and error logs

2. How We Use Information

Provide and maintain the App's features
Sync progress across your devices
Enable multiplayer Duel mode
Personalize difficulty via adaptive AI
Improve App performance and fix bugs
Display relevant, non-intrusive advertisements

3. Data Storage and Processing

Your data is stored in two locations:

Locally on your device — all game data works offline
Supabase cloud (if signed in) — for cross-device sync and multiplayer. Supabase servers are hosted in the EU/US with encryption at rest and in transit.

4. Third-Party Services

MathMe uses the following third-party services:

Supabase — authentication, database, real-time features
Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymous usage analytics
Google AdMob — advertisements in the free version (GDPR/UMP consent flow included)
Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — authentication providers
Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting (mobile only)

We do NOT sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to any party not listed above.

5. Advertising

The free version displays non-intrusive banner and interstitial ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

Device advertising identifier
General location (country level)
Ad interaction data

For users in the EU/EEA, a consent dialog (UMP) is shown before ad-related data collection. You can change your consent at any time in App settings.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

MathMe is designed for ages 7+. We comply with COPPA:

Children under 13 should use the App under parental supervision
We minimize data collection
AdMob is configured for child-directed content where applicable
No behavioral targeting of children

7. Offline Functionality

All single-player modes work fully offline. No data is transmitted when offline. When you go online, only sync-related data is sent if you are signed in.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

View your data in the Profile/Statistics section
Delete your account and all associated data (Profile → Settings → Delete Account)
Use the App without signing in (limited features)
Opt out of analytics (device-level ad tracking settings)
Withdraw ad consent (EU users, via UMP dialog)

9. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

10. Data Security

We protect your data with:

HTTPS encryption for all network communication
Row Level Security (RLS) on database
Secure authentication via OAuth 2.0
No storage of passwords (handled by Google/Apple)

11. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated through an App update or website notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
